Nobody in Vermont loves me!

I use Google Analytics on my site. It tells me how many people stop by each day and where they come from. It is fun! You should put it on your blog.

It makes this nice little map to show you were all of your eBFFs come from. The darker the green the more people from that state have stopped by to visit. People from Arizona really like me. Or maybe it is just that I look at my own blog too much. You know, whatever.

But I have a little issue with my map.

See Vermont. It isn't green. Not even a LITTLE green. And I don't mean that as an insult to their conservationism. I am sure that the people in Vermont recycle and conserve and all that jazz. But they are not green on my map. No one from Vermont has ever come to my site. Not once.

There are 608,827 that live in Vermont. I am tempted to start writing about maple syrup (which I LOVE! And I am not just saying that to woo the people of Vermont!) just to see if I can get ONE of them to stop by. But people from Vermont probably already hear enough about maple syrup. So that probably won't work.

If you have any suggestions let me know. Because I am not sure I can take that little chunk of my map not being green for much longer. It started out all "oh how neat, I have had visitors from every state except Vermont" and now it is more like "seriously, no one from Vermont loves me". Okay, maybe not seriously, but I am on a mission. If you know anyone from Vermont, send them my way. And then you will be my best friend forever! Seriously. You will!

Dang!! I don't know anyone from Vermont so I guess I can't be your best friend!!

Don't worry Jillene. It is possible that no one from my blog knows anyone from Vermont and then the position will still be available!! ;D

Funny you should mention...Jack and I were recently tracking contributions to a proposition we supported in CA. Donations came from EVERY state but Vermont. Between that, and what you mentioned in your post, I'm starting to wonder if anyone lives there at all...?

Sorry that Vermont doesn't love youm but who needs them!

And, I don't think I could put that tracker on my site b/c only seeing 2-3 states green would be too depressing for me. I just look at the hits....think positive!

I didn't even know Google Analytics did a cool map like this. I'm off to check my own map!

Maybe write something about one of their sports teams, and see if anyone from Vermont happens to google that team. They do play sports in Vermont, right?

Okay, so I had to look at my own map before I commented.

Neener neener, I have had ONE visitor from Vermont. However, North Dakota, Montana and West Virginia are big blanks. So, you should feel GREAT! :)

Do they even have internet in Vermont? ;) I've never met anyone from Vermont before.

I don't know anyone from Vermont either, but from every other state around it. That's weird.

HAH. I don't have this nor do I even keep track of hits or know how to. I figure what I don't know won't hurt me :)

I loved Vermont until this. Hmmmm......

I'll call in some favors :)

Kaite - Maybe Vermont doesn't even EXIST! Or maybe it is a top secret government facility and they use the rustic maple capital of the US facade as their cover.

Erin - I don't know that they do! I just googled it and they have no professional teams, I found one college team and the Vermont Ice Storms (Semi-Pro) went undefeated in the 2008 season. Go Ice Storms!!

Steph - I would be forever grateful!!

I guess I'm your first Vermonter.

By the way, we do have internet, broadband at that, in Vermont. The only thing we don't have still, is the iPhone.

Our Governor says we'll have broadband Wi-Fi internet covering the entire state by 2010! Beat that!

Sorry, I don't know any Vermont residents either. I fully intend to make Missouri a few shades darker though. Thanks for sharing your URL. I'm loving your site and can't wait to dig through your archives. Thanks.

Ha, ha, that made me laugh out loud. I'll have to get one of those google thingys to see where my visitors are from. I'm sure my state will be dark green from all my own visits too :)
Thanks for stopping by my page.
