Martha make beautiful (and kid friendly) place cards for your Christmas table. And I am sure they could easily be adapted for ornaments for your Christmas tree.

You use
this template from Martha's site and trace it on to a plain white paper plate. A few snips, some folding and a dab of glue and you are all set. You can get the step by step instructions
