Pumpkin Seeds

Tonight for Family Night we are making one of these:

Which means that we will have a lot of these:

And as usually we are going to toast them! YUM! Clean, season and bake

After you clean, season, bake (325-350 degrees for 15ish minutes). Always easy. Always yummy! But I thought that we might try a few different options for the second step!

Salt
Garlic Salt
Seasoning Salt
Black Pepper
Cajun Seasoning Blend
Mrs. Dash
Cayenne Pepper
Chili Powder
Taco Seasoning
Mexican style Chili Lime Seasoning
Italian seasoning
Ranch Seasoning
Grated Parmesan
Cinnamon and Sugar

I have to go to the grocery store today, so I might see what else I can find in the seasoning aisle!

Funny story--I have NEVER tried pumpkin seeds...I should probably do that before the season's over!

I am loving the garlic salt. I started snacking on pumpkin seeds as a healthy snack when I wanted to lose my last 10 lbs. I LOVE them but never made my own.

I think they are making seedless pumpkins. I remember back in the days we would have bowls full of guts and seeds. These days it's a few scraps and your done, with barely a seed in sight.

How fun! We are carving pumpkins tonight too! I have never toasted pumpkin seeds. I need to try it. My mom used to do it when we were kids, I need to make some for my kids! Thanks for the idea.

I've never had pumpkin seeds that I've made myself. I've bought them though and they are good.
