I have always been part of a family that required multiple tables for every holiday celebration, not just an adult table and a kids table, but multiple adult tables.  Beth's family wanted to sit all at one table to celebrate Easter with a traditional Seder, so she came up with a great way to extend a dining room table.  You can't tell that the table is actually two tables because the DIY table extension makes it look flawless!
