Thousand Dollar Bars (aka Homemade Twix)

I am desperately trying to think of a way to make these:


into a Halloween snack.  So that I have an excuse to make them and eat them for the next 31 days!  I am even trying to figure out if shortbread crumbs would be a good topping for a caramel and chocolate covered apple.  Mmmmmm

    Die the shortbread orange and the chocolate a little darker and make them look Halloweeny =)

    make them just like in the picture but cut a bit wider and then pipe on white chocolate to look like mummy wrap and leave a space open for a face or just some chocolate chip eyes
