At the moment I am stuck on pillows. It is probably because I need some throw pillows to lighten up my bed. And the couch in the family room could use a few as well. And I have no desire to pay $30 a piece for them, since between the bed and two couches that would be a cool $300.
So I drool over tutorials online. And now you get to too!
Love these cut button lumbar pillows from I Am Momma, Hear Me Roar:
This beauty from Under the Table and Dreaming isn't even a pillow...but I WANT it to be a pillow!
Make It and Love It has about a million pillow ideas and these gathered pillow variations are my favorite:
Obsessively Stitching has a tutorial to make this gorgeous shirred pillow that actually makes me think I could make one:
Sew 4 Home is another great place to find gorgeous pillow patterns like this lattice pillow:
What is your favorite pillow? Post a link for me so I can check it out!

Colorful Fabric Flower Wreath
It has been a while since I have posted a wreath, but this one I found on Samster Mommy is the perfect addition to the colorful posts so far today:
And it might be the perfect project for your scrap fabric!

This Dresser Could Have Been Mine
Jennie found this dresser on our trip to Wimberley Market:
She found it first, but it totally could have been mine if I pushed her out of the way and pinned her down while negotiating with the seller. Of course, she drove and I doubt that she would have given me a ride home if I did.
I am so driving next time!
But that is okay, because if I had bought it, it would still be in the garage and look like this:
Plus she is too cute to push down:
(PS - About a million people wanted this dresser. Look, even the lady in green is admiring it as it drives by on the Rhino)
You can check out her tips on how to refinish a dresser with Enamel HERE.

Carved Crayons
How I wish I was talented enough to do this:
These fabulous little crayon people are the work of Diem Chau, who judging by these gorgeous little things has more talent in one strand of hair than I posses in my entire being!
These cute little people remind me of these wonderful little carved match figures that my husband brought home from Chile. Sadly, I am responsible for the death of each and every one of those cute little match sculptures. One by one I accidentally killed them all off. I always dream that one of these days I will take my hubby back to Chile and we will find the man that carved them.
Needless to say I will not be forking out $450 to break one of these beauties. My luck Toots would get ahold of it and use it to color one of her princess pictures. But wow how Lou La would love this!
I think I might have to add a crayon family (one that looks like each of us) to my "if I win the lottery" wish list!
You can check out more of these amazing little guys HERE.

Rainbow Party
I love colors. Especially bright, rainbow colors. Last night my daughter had her Kindergarten concert and each class wore a different color. And when they got on the risers in rainbow order I about died. I think it was my favorite part. A little dancing rainbow!
And when I came home and found this perfect rainbow party at Tom Kat Studios I fell in love:
As if the tissue paper pom poms weren't cute enough, she added a balloon rainbow! I must have one. It even comes with clouds:
The cake is so cute! I love the colorful buckets used instead of a cake stand! And the little girl on top:
I sort of want that dress! But it gets BETTER (if that is even possible!) Rainbow coated Oreos:
In addition to rainbow everything else:
You can see the rest of it HERE.
I think the Oreos are my favorite. They almost look like macaroons, but are much easier to make! What about you?

Grilled Cheese with a Shot of Tomato Soup and a S'more Cone
Hostess with the Mostest has been doing posts on contemporary baby showers. There are some really fun goodies, like these grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup shots:
And my favorite, mini S'more cones:
Check out some of the other great Hors d'oeuvres and mini desserts HERE.

Egg Cup Display
This is for Jennie. When we went to Wimberly I bought three egg cups. She thought I was buying them for eggs. I am collecting them so that one day I can do this:

Toile Clock
See this gorgeous toile clock:
It used to look like this:
But Holly from Holly's Haven used a little Mod Podge magic on it and with a little help of some super cute toile tissue paper transformed this boring clock. You can check it out HERE.

Kit Kat Bars
Twix, and Snickers, and Kit Kat's:
Oh My! (And 3 Musketeers too)
I guess these don't actually taste like a Kit Kat (one of the ingredients is butterscotch), but they LOOK delicious! I will have to see if I can find a recipe that tastes like a Kit Kat. Actually, now that I think of it, it is probably better than I don't. I really can't resist a cold Kit Kat.
The recipe is from Grandma's Desserts, and I found it on C Jane in the Kitchen.
You can always tell when I am cutting sugar out of my diet because I feed the need through posting recipes. Sorry!

Brownie Bites
Found these fun brownie bites on Edible Crafts:
These cute little desserts from Rachel Ray remind me of scrabble pieces! The Boy turns 9 in less than a week! These might be his birthday cake!
You can get the recipe HERE.

Are You On Facebook?
I think I have figured out a way to solve my too many starred items problem:
Instead of inundating you with too many posts here, I will just do it on Facebook! Of course, hopefully I will use it for other things too. We shall see.
Of course, it is only fun if you join me.
Click HERE to join me on Facebook.

Don't worry! I am not going anywhere! I will still update here just as much as I usually do!

Farm Fence Photo Frames
Jennie from Cinnaberry Suite liked these frames that Stacie of the Creative Crate made:
but instead of cupboard doors, she used old pieces of a farm fence:
I think these would be perfect painted white too! Now if only I knew where to get some old farm fence!

Popsicle Drip Catchers
Love this idea from Tipnut.com! This summer, when you have a ton of drippy popsicles to contend with, stick the popsicle stick through one of these:
The cupcake liner won't only look cute, it will hopefully help keep their clothes clean too!

Photo Growth Chart
Tiffany from Lemon Tree Creations posted a tutorial for this cute Growth Chart Ruler:
It is super cute, but my favorite part is how she marks everyone's height:
She attaches their photo! What a great scrapbook it will become and a beautiful decoration for your home. I love it! You can see the tutorial for the growth chart HERE.
Pin Tuck Pillows
Homemade by Jill is practicing her Diamond Pin Tucks:
And after reading her post, it really doesn't sound like it would be too terribly hard. But with the right fabric it would make one gorgeous throw pillow! Don't you think?

Rag Quilt Tutorial
If you aren't a sewer, but want to make a rag quilt (*cough*cough*me*cough*cough*) Rachel has a really great tutorial on her brand new blog, Blooming Mommy.
I don't know what is cuter, the quilt or Rachel!

A Belt Seat (Not A Seat Belt)
Beyond the Picket Fence used some old belts to make a seat:

Katie's Bowtie Pasta
Must try Katie's Yummy looking pasta:

Donut Bread Pudding
I have never had bread pudding, but I am pretty sure I am going to have to try this bread pudding:
You can get the recipe from Texas Monkey.

Chalkboard Table
I have featured a lot of chalkboard projects on this blog. They probably deserve their own label. Some have been really cute and easy (plates) and some have been outrageous (the refrigerator) but I don't think any have made more sense than this one I found on Ohdeedoh:
A craft table for kids!
I don't think any playroom is complete without one!

Cotton Candy Cupcakes and Candy Jewels
Kara's Party Ideas featured a cute carnival party. My favorite part were the fun cotton candy cupcakes:
Not having a carnival party? What about a princess party? Chica and Jo have a tutorial for these fun candy jewels:
And I can't think of any jewel that a little girl would love at a party than a candy jewel!
Sticky Glue Cap
Can't remember where I saw this, but it is brilliant! And much better than using your teeth (which is what I always do...don't tell my mother!)

Starred Items Addict
I have a problem. A huge problem. It starts with having 1000 blogs in my Google Reader and the cute little star feature.
Something you may or may not know about Google Reader. You can star items that you want to go back and check out later. But if you want to un-star them, you have to do it one at a time. You cannot select multiple items to un-star. You can not un-star all.
Exactly one week ago I spent hours....HOURS...un-starring all of the items in my Google Reader. I wanted to start fresh. The fastest way to do this is to use the short cut keys. n, then s. 'n' for next and 's' for star (or in this case to remove the star)
n, s
n, s
n, s
Today, exactly one week later I already have 142 items starred. And that was being frugal. I can't let myself get back to 10,000 so I am going to purge the 142 I have and try to come up with a system of figuring out what to do with all of those ideas without posting 142 more times in a week. I might have to take advantage of Twitter. Start using my Facebook page. Something.
If you have any suggestions, please let me know.
But today I am going to be posting a LOT of random things to get my reader cleaned out again. I can't bare to just delete them again. So enjoy.

I know there were over 10,000 items. Two years worth. But I stopped keeping track after 10,000.
I am really surprised that those buttons on my keyboard still work.

Parade of Homes
Poppies at Play is having a Parade of Homes on her site. See:
Andy sweetly invited me to participate, but I am SO not in the same house decorating league with the ladies. I am more of a dreamer than a doer. And being in a rental for the past three months has only made that worse. So I declined the invitation, but wanted to send you guys over there to check it out. There are some really talented ladies giving you a tour of their home. You can check them all out HERE.

Incredible Shrinking Tie
Craft posted a tutorial from Hideous! Dreadful! Stinky! showing how to turn a regular size tie (that we have a million of in my house due to the fact that my husband purchased a huge lot of ties on Ebay for a small fortune only to find out that he didn't like any of them once they got here because they were to skinny) into a smaller tie (maybe for a boy that is almost 9 and doesn't have a single tie that is the right size for him)
Let me stop right here for a moment and add that I immediately subscribed to Hideous! Dreadful! Stinky! even before reading the tutorial because it is called Hideous! Dreadful! Stinky!
So back to the tutorial. You can turn this:

by following the tutorial HERE.
I am not sure The Boy, at 9, will go for the elastic band, but I wonder if I can tweak the tutorial to actually have a little more tie around the neck. We will have to give it a shot.

Homemade Snickers Bars
We have had a recipe for Twix and for 3 Muskateers, so why not add Snickers:
My Husband found this recipe on Life Hacker and emailed it to me. I guess that means he wants me to make some for him. You can find the full recipe at Instructables.
