Win Something Wednesday!

I figure since it is actually October and people don't think I am crazy for talking about Halloween anymore, I should start talking about Christmas!

I am kidding, but only a little.

Missy from SYHO Customs just listed a ton of her cute Christmas items. And to celebrate, she wants to give a $25 gift certificate to one of my readers. You can use the gift certificate in her Etsy shop:

You could use it on anything you like, but if I were you I would use it towards the purchase of one of her cute stockings:

Or if you are crafty, she sells the patterns so you can make your own set!

Go check out her store and come back and tell me what you would buy with your gift certificate. That is all you have to do to enter the giveaway.

Want additional entries?

Leave a comment here and tell me about your Christmas stocking.

Visit Missy's blog, Life in Left Field and leave her a comment on one of her posts. Then come back and tell me about it.

Follow Missy's blog (and leave another comment)

Share the news about the giveaway in a blog post, tweet, or Facebook status update and just leave a comment here with a link.

You can enter until the end of the day Tuesday, October 12, 2009. (By end of the day I mean 11:59 pm in Arizona...we don't observe daylight savings time so I really can't tell you what time that is where you are! ;D)

Good luck! I will pick the winner using a random number generator and I will post the winner next Wednesday!

  6. Ok... entry #2. My Christmas stocking is not exciting. It's a long, red, *stretchy* (important for lotsa goodies!) stocking with red white & green horizontal stripes. -Tammy

  7. At my mom's house I use the same Christmas stocking that I used as little girl. I love it. It's red and green plaid with a little red pocket on the front of the stocking. I vividly remember finding my New Kids on the Block tickets in the pocket when I was in the 7th grade. At my house my stocking is purple with white fuzzy trim.

Stockings are actually my favorite part of Christmas.

  19. Another comment -

My Christmas stocking is red, with a few snowmen on it. I made it myself last year (after getting a sewing machine for Christmas the year before) and my sewing machine pooped out on me half way through the family's stockings! So I had to sew mine up by hand. (even more adorable) .. can you sense my sarcasim :) I'm not very crafty. so a gift card to her shop would be wonderful:) thanks for the chance!

  23. For another entry. I had the cutest stocking growing up. It was red with a white bear on the top. Sadly when I was a teenager my dad forgot to remove the stockings from the mantle before starting a fire and it was burnt pretty badly. To this day I've never replaced it.

  25. Oh my! She has such sweet items for sale! I love the stockings, but they are a little out of my price range. I really fell in love with the ornaments that she offers, so if I won the gift certificate, I would get the Bright Christmas Stripes Heart Ornaments. I would also get the Christmas Stocking Pattern Elf Toe Hard Copy so that I could try my own hand at it with the fabric I already have.

    Thank you for this opportunity!

  26. My current Christmas stocking is a standard, Dollar Tree stocking that I used glitter glue to write my name on. It is pretty boring, so I would like something that is a little more jazzed up!

  31. Second entry:

My Christmas stocking is one of those cheap fuzzy red and white ones from the dollar store. When my daughter was very little and I was still a single mom, we bought those stockings and decorated them with glitter and our names.

They may be cheap and corny looking, but I love the memory of us decorating our stocking together, even when money was tight. She has other stockings now, but I hang those old ones up every year!

  32. I would love to make a stocking this year for my new baby but knowing how busy the Christmas season is, I'd probably buy one if I won!
