I love that they used a plate rack for their house numbers. The plates are decorated with paper that has been decoupaged, but you could use vinyl too. And I love that it is an easy way to switch out your house numbers for EVERY holiday! And because the plates can be easily stored together and are flat, they won't take up much room.
Plus it gives you a really good reaso to buy MORE dishes!!
Love that! The wind would knock them down and break them in 2 seconds at my house, but they would be fantastic inside!

ReplyDeleteOoh I love that. But maybe a plate holder with not plates inside? Perhaps tiles or something? Hmm.
ReplyDeleteLove this idea for house numbers! So much so that I featured this idea in my Today's Hot Find feature. :)

Oh I want to do this.... my house number is 2 . Just 2. It will have to be a mighty fancy one plate holder, but I will find it. I'm excited for the Saturday nite Special. My first one!!!

I love that- I am thinking of finding the materials at the thrift store and then super glue in place. Couldn't change with the seasons but less damage.
ReplyDeleteReally cut idea--though I'm with Tricia, I'm afraid the wind would blow mine down BUT I WILL keep this idea in mind!!

Worried about the wind? Glue the plates on with hot glue or use removable adhesive, and make sure the rack is securely attached to the house.
ReplyDeleteSome felt or foam rubber backing might be good to lodge them securely into the rack.
What a great idea!!
ReplyDeleteThis plate rack house number idea is through the roof! And you can change them at every season!!
ReplyDeleteI love skeletons and I LOVE these plates...I wish I had somewhere to hang them.
