I found this in the October Parents magazine. I bet it would take a few coats...and you would have to saw the paint off before you used it...so I probably wouldn't do it even if I HAD a pile of firewood. But I can pretend, right?
He, he. I just read the issue yesterday and thought the exact same thing! So cute, but wow, sooo much work. Good thing I don't have a wood pile to make me feel quilty.
What if you used the kids' washable paints, like the tempera paints watered down? Then you could just spray an end off when you were done or get a wet rag if you don't want to soak your nice, dry firewood... hm...
