They covered the top with fabric, fasten it along the edges with upholstery tacks. Pretty easy and inexpensive. It works to change the look, but is also a good trick if the top has been beat up. You know, if you found it at a garage sale or if you have a daughter that colored on it with red permanent marker.
Hey girl. How are you? Sorry I haven't been around much. I just went back to work and trying to find the time for visiting my favs on my blogroll like you :) This table is beautiful. I would love to sit there and write a letter!
ReplyDeleteI actually saw this in BHG magazine on Friday while sitting in the Dr's office. It is SO cute!! I love that you can change it as often as you like and for very inexpensive too.
ReplyDeleteHahahaha! Permanent marker!

I have an old table just sitting around in my machine shed...hmmm....i just might have to give it a transformation! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great idea!
ReplyDeleteI like that! You could even wrap it around and staple it underneath if you don't like the tacks on the edge. I'm thinking about a kitchen table...covered with plastic it's an easy-wipe surface too.
