Celebrating Summer with Nestle Drumsticks [$100 Walmart Gift Card Giveaway]

We consider summer vacation pure magic around this house. Birthdays are great and Christmas is fun, but summer is probably our favorite time of year. We have a lot of traditions that include staying up late, swimming every day, and eating a lot of frozen treats.

Nestlé® Drumsticks® were a family favorite in my house growing up, and the same went for my husband’s family, so they frequently make an appearance when we are enjoying summer fun. The packaging of the regular drumsticks makes them easy to toss in a cooler and take with us when we are headed to the park, the pool, or even just a friend’s house.

We live in Texas, so every outdoor activity requires a cool treat. Scooping your own ice cream cone at the park isn't really possible...

...but when you open a Drumstick you can enjoy an ice cream cone on the slide.

The same goes for the pool, a picnic, and our favorite swimming hole.

My favorite part of the Drumstick is the peanut-covered chocolatey coating, but one member of our family doesn't like peanuts!!! Luckily Drumsticks has quite a few options for her too. Her new favorites are the Pretzel Dipped Drumsticks. The peanuts are replaced with little pieces of pretzel, so you still get a yummy, crunchy bite, but this time it is a chocolate-covered pretzel.

Sometimes a full-size ice cream cone right before dinner isn't always a great idea, even on summer vacation, which is why I love Nestlé's Lil' Drums. They are all the fun of a full-size Drumstick in a smaller size. The Lil' Drums don't have the same packaging as the full-size Drumstick cones, so they don't travel in my cooler as well, but they are easy to stash in my freezer for days when we are playing outside in the sprinklers, drawing pictures with sidewalk chalk, or flying kites in the field next to our house. And in addition to the chocolate and peanuts that I love, they have a ton of toppings, like chocolate-covered rice krisps on the Vanilla Caramel Crunch and graham cracker bits on the Caramel Graham cone. And no matter what flavor of Drumstick you are enjoying this summer, the best part always comes at the very end. Who doesn't love that last bite of cone filled with yummy chocolate? It makes finishing the cone fun!
